Millennium Town Park skate zone could cut youth noise

Converting a football "cage" in St Helier into a skatepark could cut anti-social behaviour, say Jersey Police.

The force surveyed people using Millennium Town Park and found some were worried about disruption caused by groups of young people.

But Insp Mark Coxshall said authorities were now looking at ways of funding the skatepark project.

He said officers were being used as a "quick fix" for problems such as noise but a wider solution was needed.
