Jersey Women's Refuge hosts legal help sessions

Women fleeing relationships have been receiving free legal advice at Jersey Women's Refuge.

Staff from law firm Viberts have been talking to women visiting the refuge about issues including divorce, custody and finances.

Refuge manager Lorna Kearney said: "This initiative will inform women of legal implications of a break-up."

Rose Colley from the law firm said the advice was for "women facing a future of uncertainty and insecurity".
