Two arrested in Jersey after alleged knife threat

A man and a woman from the same St Helier address have been arrested by Jersey Police after officers reported being threatened by a man with a knife.

Officers went to a property at La Colomberie on Thursday after receiving reports of a window being smashed.

They then went to a nearby address, where they allege the threat occurred.

Police have appealed for witnesses and said several people among a large crowd which gathered at the scene claimed to have been injured by flying glass.

Insp Sarah Henderson said: "When I arrived a lot of people were distressed and were complaining of being showered by this glass that had come from the window.

"We'd obviously want to hear from them and anyone who was in the area at the time," she said.

The man and woman, both in their 30s, were held for questioning.
