BBC Radio Jersey will raise money for the BBC Children in Need charity with a carol service.

It will be the second time the station has held a carol service, with last year's event raising £750.

This year's service is at a larger venue, the St Helier Methodist Centre, on Tuesday, 4 December at 18:00 GMT.

Matthew Price, BBC Radio Jersey's assistant editor, said: "We are looking forward to helping you begin your Christmas celebrations by being a part of our annual carol service.

"It will be a wonderful chance to sing some of your favourite carols, listen to some festive readings and enjoy a mince pie or two."

Presenter Chris Stone will host the event which includes seasonal songs, festive readings and traditional carols.

The Jersey Instrumental Service Senior Wind Band will be performing, with solos from Olivia McInnes and Barbara Kendall-Davies.

There will also be performances from Helvetia School Choir and the cast of the Jersey Green Room Club's production of Aladdin.

Numbers are limited, but the tickets are available to collect in advance from BBC Radio Jersey's reception at 18 Parade Road, St Helier.

The tickets are free, but there is a retiring collection for BBC Children in Need.
