Jersey restaurants say they are not disruptive

Take-away restaurants in St Helier have rejected claims they are disruptive to people living in the area.

A spokesman for the First Tower Community Association said drivers stopping to collect their orders block access to residents' homes.

The restaurants said although they had one or two complaints, the majority of people living nearby were happy.

Restaurant manager Eddie Mohammed said parking officers had told him there was not a problem in the area.
