Jersey is on track to be the warmest April on record

This month is on track to be the warmest April on record in Jersey with the average temperature for the month so far being 14C.

But the Jersey Meteorological Department warned this was likely to reduce a little in the next few days as a cool north easterly wind blows.

Currently the hottest April on record was 2007 - when the average temperature for the month was 13.4C.

The number of hours of sunshine so far this month is 240.

That is 50 hours above the average for the whole of April.
