Jersey people pay for new churches in Kenya

Two new churches have been built in rural Kenya thanks to money raised by the New Life Christian Fellowship Jersey.

Missionary Ian Curwood has been working in Kenya and developed links with a pastor in the poverty-stricken village of Milano, Malindi.

Funds raised by the Jersey group has paid for two new churches - one in Milano and one in nearby Takaye.

The money also paid for a new home for the pastor of the Milano church.

Mr Curwood said he was very thankful for the generosity of the people of Jersey.

He said: "Later this month I will be taking Pastor Mo Allaire from the New Life Christian Fellowship Jersey to show what, with God's help, has been achieved."
