Jersey company Dot tv media gets first angel investment


Jersey company, Dot TV media, has secured £150,000 of investment from a so-called angel investor.

It is the first local deal that has been provided through the Jersey Business Angels Network.

It allows local businesses to present projects to would-be investors.

Dot TV media is a Jersey company which produces online video content and hopes to launch early in 2011.

Wayne Gallichan, director of international trade in Jersey, said the news was evidence that the concept of the Jersey Business Angels Network was working and effective.

He said that Jersey is home to many entrepreneurs as well as local investors who are willing to back ideas and companies.
