Poppy collection tin stolen from Jersey shop

A poppy appeal charity collection tin has been stolen from a sports shop in Jersey.

The charity box was stolen from Jeff Le Marquand's in Bath Street, St Helier, at 1720 GMT on Wednesday.

Jersey police said the man was wearing a dark blue jacket with three light blue stripes down each arm.

He was also wearing dark blue jeans, white trainers and a black beanie hat with a light coloured scarf.

Police are asking anyone with information to get in touch.
