Jersey man convicted of child sex attacks

A Jersey man has been convicted at the island's Royal Court of a series of sexual assaults on children.

Lee De Mouilpied, 35, was convicted of 23 separate sexual offences including indecent assault and gross indecency and cleared of one indecent assault.

He was convicted on 12 counts of assaulting one teenage boy over a four year period and 11 further assaults on at least five unidentified children.

Former nurse De Mouilpied has been remanded in custody until 19 November.

The court heard that during the investigation police found images of the assaults on De Mouilpied's computer.

Officers are now trying to identify the victims.

In court prosecution counsel Stephen Baker appealed for help in contacting the unidentified victims so that they could be offered immediate medical or psychological help.
