Free test offered in Jersey on lung disease

A free health test is being offered to Jersey people with breathing problems.

The 10-minute tests at Jersey Hospital on 14 October will measure the amount of air in people's lungs and how fast they can breathe out.

The test can spot the early signs of asthma and lung diseases, which are treatable if they are caught early.

The hospital authorities advise people to have a test if they cough a lot, become short of breath when walking, or are a smoker over the age of 40.
