A police investigation has been launched into the death of a woman whose body was found in a woodland in the north of the Isle of Man.

The body of Lynsey Martin, 39, was discovered near Ramsey Hairpin on Sunday morning.

The death is being treated as suspicious while "further information" is gathered, police said.

The force declined to comment on the investigation but said there was no risk to the public.

"It is believed this is an isolated incident," an Isle of Man Constabulary spokesman said.

Anyone with dashcam footage of the area between 22:30 GMT on Saturday and 02:00 on Sunday has been asked to contact police.
