Martin Cleator: Man jailed over 900,000 child sex images
A man who admitted possessing more than 900,000 indecent images of children has been jailed.
Martin Cleator, 45 and of Ballaquark in Douglas, was given two years for possession and three months, to run concurrently, for distributing them.
Douglas Courthouse was told on Monday that 3,000 images were rated in the most severe category.
It follows the "largest scale inquiry" ever undertaken by Manx Police into indecent images of children.
Mr Cleator was also put on the sex offenders' register for seven years.
Officers found more than 900,000 indecent images on three hard drives at his home after a search warrant was executed in June 2016.
Insp Derek Flint said the force would continue to target potential offenders who commit such crimes "on any scale".
