Nearly 170 people dressed as Father Christmas have completed a Santa Dash in the pouring rain.

The one-mile (1.6km) race around the streets of Douglas was won by Jack Okell in four minutes 35 seconds on Wednesday.

He finished three seconds ahead of last year's winner Jamie Newton with the leading lady Rachel Franklin in fifth.

Since it started in 2001 participants have raised more than £200,000 for charities on the Isle of Man.

In total 168 people completed the course despite a torrential downpour.
