Douglas man, 50, charged after police recover heroin valued at £55,000

Heroin with a street value of £55,000 has been recovered by police in the Isle of Man.

Liam Patrick Flanagan, 50 and from Douglas, was arrested on Thursday and later charged with attempted possession of a Class A drug.

He has also been charged with being concerned in the production of a Class A drug.

At Douglas courhouse, the Deputy High Bailiff remanded him in custody until 13 December.
