Motorcyclist suffers 'serious injuries' in Ferrari collision

A man whose motorcycle was in collision with a Ferrari in the Isle of Man has been seriously injured, police said.

The crash happened on Monday at about 08:00 BST on the A3 Ballamodha Straight between Silverdale and Phildraw Road.

A 39-year-old man from Peel was treated at the scene before being flown to the UK, said a police spokesman.

He had been travelling towards Ballasalla when his Suzuki and the Ferrari came together. The car driver, from Ballasalla, was unhurt.

The road was closed for several hours while officers investigated the cause of the collision.
