Isle of Man unemployment fell in September
The number of people unemployed on the Isle of Man fell by 45 during September, official figures have shown.
At the end of the month, there were 859 people out of work compared with 904 the previous month.
Manx Treasury figures show 578 men were unemployed at the end of last month and 281 women.
During the month, 685 vacancies were notified to the Isle of Man Job Centre with 381 positions still vacant and held on file.
A Treasury spokesman said the current rate of unemployment stood at 1.9%, a fall of 0.1% from August.
The island's rate of inflation in September also eased from 2.3% in August to its current rate of 1%.
