£5m Isle of Man motor museum set to open in 2015
A £5m motor museum is set to open in the north of the Isle of Man in March, developers said.
Work has begun on the Jurby museum, which is the brainchild of father and son team Denis and Darren Cunningham, from Kirk Michael.
The exhibition space of 70,000 sq ft (6,500 sq m) is designed to accommodate about 150 cars and 150 motorbikes.
Denis Cunningham said: "It's going to be something special for the island."
Mr Cunningham said the exhibitions would be themed "according to the different motoring events being held during the island's busy events calendar".
Classic cars, buses, lorries and fire engines are expected to be on display.
"We are planning to officially open the motor museum on St Patrick's Day in 2015," Mr Cunningham said.
