Isle of Man reservoir levels 'dropping'

Reservoirs on the Isle of Man are being closely monitored after a drop in water levels during the hot weather, says the Manx water authority.

A spokesman said while there were currently no plans for a hosepipe ban, water sprinklers should be limited.

Douglas water supplies are to be supplemented by the Sulby Reservoir via the Beinn y Phott pipeline.

Water Quality Manager, Karen Westcott, said: "We would request that customers use water wisely."

The current stock levels, according to the Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority, are 79% in Sulby, 74% in Clypse, 63% in Kerrodhoo and 75% in West Baldwin.
