More than 120 people on the Isle of Man have dressed up like Father Christmas to compete in the annual Santa Dash on Tuesday.

Kevin Loundes won the charity race through the streets of Douglas and set a new record of 4 minutes 20 seconds, breaking John Halligan's 2007 record.

Mr Loundes was running to raise money for motor neurone disease and said he was delighted to win the race.

In 2010 the dash raised tens of thousands of pounds for charity.

Mr Loundes said: "It's obviously good fun and it's a a great course to run for charity.

"I'm really pleased to beat John's record. It has stood for a few years now."
