Man arrested after central building in hoax bomb scare

A 42 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making a hoax call after police received reports a bomb was possibly in a government building.

Police said Hillary House on Prospect Hill, which houses the social services department, was evacuated "as a cursory measure" on 14 January at 1515 GMT.

The building is situated in the centre of Douglas opposite the main Isle of Man government legislative buildings.

Police said the man was currently helping them with their inquiries.
