Vandals slash football nets in Isle of Man

Vandals have slashed football nets at two local football clubs and a college in the Isle of Man, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.

Nets at Colby and Rusden football clubs and King William's College were cut on Friday night. Police said each net would cost £500 to replace.

The nets at the college were replaced immediately but damaged again on Sunday night. The posts were also ripped out.

A £500 reward has been offered for information that leads to a conviction.

The reward has been offered by a local resident who wants to remain anonymous, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Isle of Man police.
