Black ice warnings to motorists in Isle of Man

Drivers are being urged to only make essential journeys in the Isle of Man as black ice covers many of the island's roads.

Many routes are "treacherous", the emergency services said.

Heavy snowfall, which has affected schools, transport and businesses for the past few days, has now turned into ice because of the freezing temperatures affecting much of the UK.

Gritters have been out in force to try and make much of the island accessible.
