Police have discovered £5,000 worth of heroin during a raid at a house in the Isle of Man.

Officers from the drug trafficking unit raided a property in Douglas Promenade at 1820 GMT on Saturday.

Two men, 20 and 21, both from Merseyside, have been arrested on suspicion of importing and supplying heroin and money laundering.

Det Sgt Allan Thompson said the raid was the culmination of an intelligence operation targeting drug dealing.

"As well as taking drugs out of the hands of dealers we are also focused on taking their assets and investigating how they get money off the island," he added.
