New housing bill explains rights in Isle of Man

A new Manx housing bill will bring "important changes" to the relationship between landlords and tenants.

The bill, which will be introduced by the Department of Social Care next month, focuses on the management and ownership of leasehold flats.

Martyn Quayle, Minister for Social Care, said legislation would help ensure the availability of good quality, affordable housing.

"It will help to specify the rights of tenants and landlords," he said.
