Woman attacked in Isle of Man nightclub

A woman was subjected to a "shocking assault" in an Isle of Man nightclub over the weekend, police have said.

The woman was attacked in Colours nightclub, in Douglas, at about 0125 BST on Sunday.

She was taken to Noble's Hospital and was treated for facial injuries. She has since been discharged.

Police believe the attackers were women and are appealing for anyone with information about the assault to contact them.

Pc Jamie Watterson, of Manx police, said: "This is a shocking assault where the victim has received facial injuries.

"The club was particularly busy that night and anyone witnessing the assault would have been appalled by the conduct of those involved."
