Six Guernsey teenagers arrested over driver assault

Six teenagers have been arrested in Guernsey on suspicion of attacking a motorist.

The man, aged in his 40s, was driving along L'Abbaye Vale at about 22:30 BST on Friday when a group of 10 teenagers blocked his way, police said.

Some of the group - which was made up of mainly boys and at least two girls - allegedly punched and kicked him after being asked to move out of the way.

The youths arrested include two aged 14, three aged 15 and a 17-year-old.

Police said the man stopped his vehicle when he saw the group, beeped his horn and asked them to get out of the road.

Some of the group then attacked him, punched, kicked and kneed him, which left the victim with bruises and scratches, according to police.

The car was also damaged during the attack.
