Pubs in St Peter Port are likely to be allowed to stay open later for England's late-night World Cup match.

The match against Italy starts at 23:00 BST on 14 June and is England's only group fixture to start so late.

It means full-time in the game will fall after the regular closing time for bars and pubs in Guernsey.

The Liberation Group has applied for a late licence and constables say it is likely licensing laws in St Peter Port will be relaxed.
