Man charged over Guernsey pickaxe jewellery shop raid

A man has been charged with handling stolen goods following an armed robbery at a jewellers in Guernsey.

He is due to appear in court next week. A woman arrested in connection with the raid was bailed on Monday.

A pickaxe was used to take more than £300,000 of diamond jewellery from Paint and Sons in the Pollet at about 04:30 BST on Good Friday.

The Paint family is offering a reward for information that results in the recovery of the jewellery taken.
