Scaffolding lorry arson could be linked to other Guernsey fires

An arson involving a scaffolding lorry could be linked to other vehicles fires in Guernsey, police have said.

The lorry was taken from Well Road and set on fire in L'Hyvreuse Avenue, both in St Peter Port, shortly after midnight.

It was extinguished by fire crews before 01:00 BST.

Police investigating the incident, the fourth vehicle fire this summer, have asked anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to come forward.

A spate of arson involving vehicles occurred in 2011.
