Guernsey bikers pay tribute to Drummer Lee Rigby

Guernsey motorcyclists will be paying tribute to Drummer Lee Rigby later.

The local motorcycle community will take part in a mass ride out from Vazon Bay to the War Memorial in Smith Street from 14:00 BST.

Greenman Motorcycle Club member Kaz Swarbrick said something needed to be done in the island.

She said they would lay flowers and tributes in memory of Drummer Rigby and all other fallen British and Allied soldiers at the memorial.

She said: "I think everyone has been touched in different ways by what's happened and you feel quite helpless but I just thought in a small way that's something we could do... to show our solidarity."

Drummer Rigby was died in an attack near his barracks in Woolwich on 22 May.
