Channel Islands' flights disrupted by heavy fog

Flights between the Channel Islands, France and the UK have faced delays and cancellations due to heavy fog.

All morning flights between Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney were delayed pending a change in the weather, while some UK flights were diverted.

Guernsey saw a number of cancellations, affecting flights to and from Bristol, East Midlands, London and Dinard.

Weather forecasts showed the fog was set to last for most of the day, but would clear up by the evening.

Among the passengers affected was Guernsey's Chief Minister Deputy Peter Harwood, who was due to speak at an event in Jersey.
