Guernsey's reservoir at 80% capacity

Water storage facilities in Guernsey are 20% empty, it has been revealed.

Despite heavy rainfall over recent weeks, St Saviour's reservoir is holding only about 80% of its total capacity.

Guernsey Water said there was no need for people to be concerned.

Director Andrew Redhead said it represented "a happy medium" for the company, allowing maintenance while securing supply.
