Guernsey Airport is placed third most punctual in flights to and from the UK, according to figures released by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Luxembourg was top of the 75 airports covered, with 93.1% of flights leaving or arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled time.
Rotterdam was second with 92.2%, with Guernsey third on 91.6%.
The results were collected in the April to June 2010 covering more than 220,000 international and domestic flights.
This included nearly 2,500 departures to or arrivals from Guernsey Airport, which recorded better punctuality than Gatwick, Heathrow, New York JFK and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
Airport Director Colin Le Ray said it demonstrated the efficiency of airlines operating to and from the island, handling agents and air traffic control, as well as the communication between staff and the airlines.
The average delay time was just six minutes, compared to nearly eight minutes for Jersey Airport, which recorded 87.8% punctuality.
The 75 airports in the list were the most frequent destinations to and from UK airports.
The worst for punctuality was Madrid Airport, with just 58.8% flights on time and an average delay of more than 27 minutes.
