Guernsey architects win two 'best house' awards

Two Channel Island houses could officially be named some of the best houses in the world, after a Guernsey firm scooped two awards.

Architects Bas Mooarc won two prizes for best architecture for a single residence as part of the 2010 UK-Americas Property Awards.

The Lodge in St Saviour, Guernsey and Le Foin Bas in St Brelade, Jersey received the awards.

The houses were automatically nominated for the best house in the world award.

The winners of the 36 categories of 'best house' will be announced at the International Property Awards on 26-27 November.
