Jonny Cooper: Man arrested over GAA player attack

A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attack on a GAA footballer in Dublin.

Jonny Cooper was stabbed in Upper Dorset Street at about 05:30 BST on Saturday, 20 September.

The 24 year old was treated in hospital for injuries to his head, face and neck.

The man was arrested at Cloverhill Prison this morning and is being questioned at Mountjoy Garda Station.

Irish police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to come forward.
