Cannabis plants seized in Ballybofey, County Donegal

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of 360,000 euros have been recovered in County Donegal.

They were found along with other items, made and adapted for the growth and cultivation of cannabis, during a search at a premises on Navenny St, Ballybofey on Tuesday evening.

A man in his 30s, and three women, two in their 20s and one in her 60s, were arrested.

The search was conducted by members of the Letterkenny drugs unit.

It was carried out by Gardaí (Irish police) as part of an ongoing investigation targeting cannabis cultivation in County Donegal.

The man and three women have been detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (drug trafficking) Act, 1996 at Letterkenny garda station.
