Man dies in 'stolen' taxi crash at Dublin quay

A man in his 20s has died and two others have been injured after the taxi they were travelling in crashed in central Dublin.

The taxi is believed to have been stolen. Police said the vehicle "had been taken from its owner in the area, prior to the collision".

The crash happened at North Wall Quay at about 02:40 BST.

A second man in his 20s was seriously injured and has been taken to hospital. A third man sustained minor injuries.

The car collided with a lock bridge on the quay.

North Wall Quay has been closed while the police examine the scene of the collision.
