Samoa time change proves confusing for ambassador

Changing time zones can be a confusing thing, even if it is just a matter of a few hours.

So it makes the plans of Samoa, in the South Pacific, very ambitious. It hopes to cross the international date line, reversing a change introduced 119 years ago.

But even the country's high commissioner to the UK and ambassador to the EU and Belgium, Tuala Falani Chan Tung, admitted that the plans are confusing.
