China leaders' speeches compared

China's ruling Communist Party is preparing to hand power to a new, younger generation of leaders.

Since the last transfer 10 years ago, the country's economy and society has modernised rapidly.

But the rigid Party's ways of doing business have not changed at all, and delegates to this week's 18th Party Congress could be forgiven for thinking they have heard it all before.

A word cloud of the 101-minute speech by outgoing President Hu Jintao shows remarkable similarities to the speech made by his predecessor, Jiang Zemin, when he handed over in 2002.
