Libya's NTC interim leader gives key speech in Tripoli

The head of Libya's transitional government has told thousands of cheering supporters that the country will avoid extremist ideology and promote moderate Islam.

Mustafa Abdul-Jalil was delivering his first public speech since arriving in Tripoli at the same spot previously used by Colonel Gaddafi.
