Life in Congo's rainforest


The Democratic Republic of Congo boasts half of Africa's rainforests and is seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in international assistance to protect them.

Campaigners say the forests are at risk from a combination of weak enforcement of environmental regulations, poverty and corruption.

BBC correspondent Thomas Hubert reports from DR Congo's north-western Equateur province on the battle to save the rainforests.
