Libyan man says forces loyal to Gaddafi are 'ruining the town' of Zawiya

A Libyan man whose family live in Zawiya, to the west of Tripoli in Libya, says forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi are "ruining the town."

Speaking anonymously to BBC Radio 5 live, the UK-based guest continues: "My brother told me that there are 50 tanks, and 150 cars filled with armed military, bombarding the city."

"The infrastructure of Zawiya has gone," he tells Rhod Sharp on Up All Night. "The fighting and the bombardment and the tanks has not stopped for two days."
