Pro- and anti-government forces have been battling for ground in Libya. Explore the map below to find out more about the key flashpoints.
Rebels secured control of the strategic oil port of Brega - along with Ras Lanuf - last week, as they pushed out of the rebel-held eastern half of the country.
It was seen as a key battle and, according to Shashank Joshi, associate fellow of the Royal United Services Institute, demonstrated the impressive ability of small, disparate units to spontaneously mount a defence.
Rebel forces fought off an attempt by soldiers loyal to Col Gaddafi to retake the oil town on Tuesday 2 March.
