Here are the highlights of the last week's news in pictures taken by you. Saturday marked the 48th anniversary of Uganda's independence from Britain.
Parisa Azadi took this picture of National Resistance Movement supporters entertaining pedestrians on the streets of Kampala.
There were violent clashes in Belgrade, Serbia, during a Gay Pride march. Janja Bobic, who shot this from her balcony on Sunday, said: "A small group of hooligans clashed with the police. They tried to stop ambulances that were going to a nearby hospital."
Helena Popovich sent this photo from central Belgrade, which shows the police in action on the right. "The protesters were scattered all around town in small groups and there were many scuffles. They demolished the town," she said.
The world has been watching the developments in Chile, where 33 miners remain trapped underground. The BBC's Piers Scholfield tweeted this picture showing media preparations at the mine - you can see BBC correspondent Tim Willcox on the right.

Adam Maracz is from Devecser, one of the affected towns. He said: "My brother is a policeman, and went to rescue some people. His legs were burnt, but he got treated in the hospital...

In the UK, a major fire destroyed historic Hastings Pier, East Sussex - it took fire crews four days to extinguish it. Photo: Lee Lyons
Lois Carpenter, who lives three minutes from the pier, said: "The flames were burning a bright red, like I've never seen before, and sparks were flying off the metal support underneath. There were huge chunks of embers flying through the air."
