A father died off the coast of a popular Gower beach after fearing his two children were in danger as they played in the sea.

Jason North, 42, of Macclesfield, Cheshire, got into difficulty off Three Cliffs Bay, near Swansea, in June while on holiday with his family.

His children, a boy and a girl, were rescued from the water by members of the public who were on the beach.

The Swansea coroner recorded a case of accidental death at Thursday's inquest.
