Swansea musician died in Thai moped crash, inquest hears
A Welsh musician working in Thailand was killed in a crash days before he was due to return home, an inquest has heard.
Classically-trained guitarist Ross Mackay, 27, from Sketty, Swansea, had been living in the beach-resort city of Pattaya for more than three years.
He wanted to return to Britain to work as a singer-guitarist, but died when his moped crashed into a parked truck.
Assistant coroner Aled Wyn Gruffydd recorded a narrative conclusion.
Mr Mackay's mother Lyn Mackay said: "Ross loved life and lived it to the absolute fullest, so he leaves a huge gap in a lot of lives that will never be filled.
"My heart will never heal from losing him. I adored him."
