Plans to build a new Welsh medium school in Haverfordwest have been backed by Pembrokeshire council.

It will be built on land east of Ridgeway on Withybush Road and will accommodate 960 pupils aged 3-16 years.

The town's Ysgol Gymraeg Glan Cleddau will close following the opening of the new school, with post-16 Welsh education provided at Ysgol y Preseli in Crymych.

The new school will welcome pupils from September 2018.
