Two motorcyclists die after crash in Carmarthenshire

Two motorcyclists have died after a collision on the A40 near Llandovery, Carmarthenshire.

The crash, involving two motorbikes and a Peugeot van towing a trailer, happened just before 12:00 BST between Llandovery and Halfway on Sunday.

The driver and passenger of the van have been taken to hospital for treatment.

The road is closed in both directions and diversions are in place.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: "Tragically both riders of the motorbikes died at the scene. Next of kin have been advised and our thoughts remain with the families.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Dyfed Powys Police on 101."
