Parts of Carmarthenshire are without drinking water after a water mains burst.

Welsh Water said Trap, Llandybie, Cross Hands, Tumble, Gorslas, Penygroes and Carmel were affected.

The company said it had been carrying out repair work overnight and hoped to restore the supply by Wednesday evening.

Supplies had been maintained for the majority of customers through tankering, the company added.

Customers with special needs and mothers with young babies are being supplied with bottled water.
